My name is Jalina! I’d have to say my favourite website/app is definitely Instagram. If I’m playing on my phone, chances are I’m sitting on Instagram. I jump on it so much that it basically tends to all my needs. If I need a new idea, recipe, hair style, outfit, or even just a laugh, I can scroll through the different categories to get my fix. There are a lot of different subjects that spark my interests, like writing, science and art. What’s your favourite subject? Also, please check out the blogging guidelines.

Passion Project

The history of photography goes years back to the 1870’s where the first camera was publicly made and released. It started with the Dollmeyer Box Stereo Camera, which is a camera with two or more lenses with a seperate image sensor or film frame for each lens. Then, later in the 1920, the autographic system for roll film was launched by Kodak. At the time of exposure, Kodak allowed photographer’s to add written imformation on the film.

Later, Kodak released the Instamatic 100 Box camera, which was made in the beginning of 1963. The Instamatic was extremely sucessful, introducing a generation to inexpensive photography and spawning numerous imitators.

1977, the Polaroid Instant Camera was invented. The Instant camera is a type of camera which uses self-developing film to create a chemically developed print shortly after taking the photo.

Four years later, Sony released the world’s first electronic still camera, the Sony Mavica Digital Camera. The Mavica, (Magnetic Video Camera), was a brand of Sony cameras which used removable disks as the main recording medium. It was not a digital camera, as it’s CCD sensor produced an analog video signal in the NTSC format at a resolution of 570 x 490 pixels.

Then came the Samsung WB1SOF, which is a 14.7 mega pixel compact camera with the companys own BSI CMOS sensor, a 18x, 24-423mm antically-stabilized lens, 720p HD video recording and a 3 inch LCD screen. The WB1SOF travel-zoom also offers wi-fi capability that allows users to email photos from any hotspot or share them on social networks. This was invented back in 2012. Now, in 2016, the most used camera  currently around the world, (excluding the iPhone), is the Canon EOS 5D Mark IV, which has a new 30.4 megapixel full frame CMOS sensor that delivers images that are packed with detail. Painful Steps

My legs shake uncomfortably, hot puffs of air lurk out of my mouth. I tightly grip onto the rope, feeling as if I was about to slip. I gradually start moving sideways, stepping on to tope underneath my feet. The two ropes are like parallel lines, they’ll never meet.

My grip starts to loosen. I panic, I turn my head slightly down, eyes glued onto the dirty, polluted river.

I try to move quicker, I try to get out of this situation as fast as possible, yet my head was still down my grip was still loose, my legs felt as if they were about to collapse at any moment.

My heart pounded faster than the wind itself. I harshly made it halfway, and the scenery of bright, vivid trees started to cover the dark river.

Even though I do this every day, I’ll never get used to this horrible scenario.

Natural Disaster Showcase

My muscles tense up every time someone walks by. I try to distract myself, throwing my head left and right, observing other peoples stands. I clench my fists, watching a few people shuffle to my stand. I hesitantly walk back, trying to avoid answering their questions. They noticed what I’m doing, gradually shifting off. I sigh, relieved.

Time passes quickly, and I’m okay with that. I checked my watch every minute, seeing time pass through my hands. Yet, at the nearly-very-end of the night, a voice reaches for me. I pivot my body, facing my stand. There, I see a complete stranger, someone I have never seen before in my life. They ask there question, and a minute of silence spreads through the air. I struggle to build up my confidence, yet my back was still sloped.

Finally, I say something. A long, detailed answer that I practised beforehand. Therefor, I expected a surprised reaction. Yet, all I got was a wide smile and a nod of the head.

The night was coming to an end, I was several students walk by my stand. I follow them, reaching to the end of the learning gallery.

I re-evaluate the night, disappointed at my confidence level. But, next time, I know I’ll try harder.

A Hollow Perspective

Behold, two tedious individuals cross paths. Two pair of eyes meet, alas, many sparks flew. He gripped onto his bag. His hands felt numb.

An awkward silence spreads through the air. They stand a metre away from each other. He has to go, he has a meeting to attend. She has to leave, she has an operation to perform. Yet, they stayed silent, eyes locked.

The silence was interrupted. Fred Hollow’s name was called. He took his last glance at the pretty lady standing in front of him. He looked away, not wanting the lady to see the longing in his eyes. His name was called again. He didn’t leave though. She knew he didn’t want to leave, so she left for him.

When he looked back, she wasn’t there anymore. It was like she was a figure of his imagination, and that’s what he thought. Until surprisingly a day later, they met again.
